I have only met one other Erin who is around my age in my life.  I just never thought it was a very popular name.  On tumblr, however, it’s quite prevalent.  There’s me, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, and him (although spelled differently).  And I’m sure there are more.

And that’s my pointless observation for the day.

Dinner: fried fish, fried okra, French fries, oh yea, and fried hushpuppies.

I promise with all my heart, I’m starting to eat better tomorrow. I really never eat that bad but I was feeling the need to be nasty and eat crap.

Ok, so the whole LOL thing that gets on peoples nerves, it actually bothered me when I first saw it too. 

A little history:  I didn’t get a cell phone until my husband made me.  I was late getting one-I just didn’t and still don’t like talking on the phone and if you don’t answer- you get bitched at-you know, it’s annoying!! And now days, if you don’t text back- that’s RUDE!  I learned  LOL from my younger cousin who was in high-school at the time it started being used so frequently. Well, I started using it a lot.  At times I would think- I’m not laughing out loud- it’s not that funny.  It started to get on my nerves.  It’s also just an easy way to end a conversation while texting.   

Well, I’ve decided to completely wipe it out of my vocabulary. No more LOL.   I use hahahahaa a lot.  I do laugh a lot ya know?  I love to laugh- but not everything makes me laugh out loud. 

Whatever- I’m just a huge DORK!

I think you said it perfectly.  I, myself have been a punk lately and have been sad and whiney about my husband getting on my nerves and just not making me happy.  Well, I went to church with my mother this weekend, something I rarely do and what did that preacher talk about?  Exactly what you’ve said.  And I’ve done what you suggested.  I made him happy by doing thoughtful things for him (making his lunch, rubbing his back, I mowed the grass this time-little things, but they really mean a lot)- it almost instantly made me feel better.  It made him happy and wow- we’re all happy again. He does the same for me.  We help eachother out. I just get in a slump sometimes/ I get weak/ I get tired/ I get irritated w/ someone/I get bored- but it’s not his fault at all.  I know it’s my own. I shouldn’t let shit get me down.  I think we’re thinking the same thing- If not, I like your post.  I tend to ramble… : )

i havent met anyone that is genuinely kind hearted in such a long time.

i spent far too much time these past few weeks moaning about wanting someone to make me happy and wanting someone to care about me.
i’m glad i delivered my own slap in the face.
helping others and attempting to make others happy makes me genuinely happy, without depending on anyone else.

i am so tired of hearing peoples complaints about how their girlfriends/boyfriends/friends/family arent making them happy or whathaveyou.
i have been there, too, but either end the relationship or spend some time making them happy and not doing it because you want them to make you happy in return.
make them happy and do little things for people because you care for them, not because you want it in return.
im not even saying to not be selfish, helping others is the best kind of selfishness because you do it to feel good about yourself and because you care about them.

none of this is even making sence, im sure, but my point is as follows:
make others happy and do the little things to make them smile because you care about them and you like seeing them happy, not because you hope theyll make you happy in return.
